Gulf Print and Pack Technical Article-
We were asked to write a technical article to promote our stand at the recent Gulf Print and Pack exhibition in Dubai. We decided that we wanted to share that article with you…
Born out of the success of Tech-ni-Fold, we will be launching our CreaseStream mini machines. The CreaseStream Mini series of three machines were created as cost-effective entry level creasing & micro-perforating solutions for digital print companies. The patented rubber creasing technology we developed through Tech-ni-Fold is also harnessed in rotary format on each machine; this of course gives our customers a great advantage over traditional methods in the area of speed and versatility. Visitors will be pleased that there is a company who create great affordable solutions to fill an area in the market that is currently void. The following solutions won the international platinum award for design at the 2013 British inventions show.
- CreaseStream Mini Standard
Our manual unit, the CreaseStream Mini Standard has a rotary handle attached to the creasing shafts so that the user can feed sheets through the paper guides with one hand whilst turning them through with the other. We timed this process over traditional push down handle creasers and registered improved output of up to six times. Unlike traditional methods users can add extra creasing and micro-perforating devices to produce multiple applications in one pass.
- CreaseStream Mini Quick-feed
The Quick-feed version has exactly the same features as the standard version only the user doesn’t need to hand feed the sheets, instead a special feeding system has been integrated. The feeder is unique in that it works without a vacuum pump or electricity in a way that a stack of sheets can be maintained for continuous flow, without marking or scuffing, which is common with friction feeders.
Yield of throughput using the CreaseStream Mini Quick-feed can reach beyond 3,000 sheets per hour.
- CreaseStream Mini Auto-feed
With the Auto-feed version the handle has been replaced for a motor so that output will reach beyond 4,000 sheets per hour. The sheets feed from the bottom so that the operator can keep the load stacked up so continuity is maintained.
All three CreaseStream Mini machines benefit from the same tooling shaft and this means that multiple creasing and micro-perforating applications are achievable throughout.
